Did you know: A report prepared in association with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and Praxis Global Alliance says that "the plastic consumption in India has grown at a significant pace over the past five years, and so has its waste output. India produces 3.4 million tonnes of plastic waste in a year, only 30 percent of it is recycled,"
To tackle this problem, BSG has launched a ‘Say NO to Plastic’ campaign which has a two-point focus:
1. Say NO to Plastic Bags
2. Say NO to Plastic Bottles
It all begins with making a conscious effort to see the plastic around us. When we participate in this campaign actively, then we will be able to think about ways how we can reduce or refuse plastic, how we can recycle plastic. Our conscious efforts will motivate us to search for organizations that work towards recycling plastic.
Let us pledge to imbibe the ‘Say NO to Plastic’ campaign in our lives, and inspire our friends to do the same, thereby creating a more sustainable world by 2030.
