Jammu Kashmir tops in Sustainable Development Indices

The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has registered considerable improvement in the governance standards that has been acknowledged by different surveys that were conducted by various agencies last year. 

The 39th Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Urban Index-2021 by NITI Aayog, a total of 56 urban areas on 77 SDG indicators across 46 targets of the SDG framework were ranked by the NITI Aayog in collaboration with GIZ and BMZ under the umbrella of Indo-German Development Cooperation. In its ranking, Srinagar city secured 61.50 points.
